I’ve just completed a clear cedar deck . The client would like to let it age to a silvery grey. Any thoughts out there as to wether we leave it to age to the desired shade then seal it, or should we get some clear seal on now and then let it go ?

If you seal it now, it will still age. You'll just slow down the process a little. I'd do it now; you come back in a year you're just going to incur time and labor for pressure washing a years worth of stains and bird poo off before you seal it up.
