hello,
I looked at an old T and G fir floor that my clients have put some small dents in with couch legs. These dents are about the size of a penny and about 1/16th deep.I do not want to replace the boards and lose the patina and I know wood filler looks bad.Any suggestions? Thanks dan

dab with water, let it sit for 1/2 hr, then steam them with a clothes iron over a clean, wet, white cotton rag.
the finish may need touchup but the wet wood fibers will swell the dent out.
*Ditto Bullet's response. Well known wood furniture trick.
