Hello All,
Planning on getting a detached garage/wood shop constructed next year. After reading with interest all the posts at this site and others regarding heating a detached wood shop, I’m thinking that a Nat. Gas fired direct vent furnace is what I’ll go with. It’s mounted on an exterior wall and the combustion chamber is sealed from the inside. Cozy and Monitor are two mfg’s I’m aware of.
Anyone have any good or bad experiences with this type of heating EQ?

I had a similar Coleman a few years ago. It was already 20-30 years old when I got it so it only lasted me a couple of years. But I think that is a good concept and will be looking at those again in the future.
But you might also want to look at the infra red heaters. Some of them are also sealed combustion.
