My company is designing a screened porch addition, and a question of drainage has come up. The house in question has a concrete floor slab at the porch, pitched for positive drainage away from the house. The enclosure is to be built from 5/4 x …wood screen panels with a treated sill at the slab. The enclosure will be painted at all surfaces.
I can imagine that a fair quantity of rainwater would blow through the screens. If anyone has any input or details regarding getting it out from the enclosure without letting the bugs in, I’d love to hear from you.
