Looks likajobba for Ron Teti-
He's always off chasing shorts
so he shouldn't mind running down a little drawer
*I cannot figure out how to line up your standard drawer runners. I had 7 drawer boxes built in 2 hours and adjusting the runners have taken another 2 hours. It seems I do it different everytime. If I build drawers with lip molding on them. and the drawer is made from 3/4 pine, (four sides and attaching the face later) where do you line up the drawer runner? Better yet...tell me a quicker way.I am embarrassed. Thanks
*I build the box 1/2" smaller on each side than the opening so a 4-1/2"h by 11-1/2"w openning will accomadate a 3-1/2"h by 10-1/2"w drawer. Fronts are extra and are installed after the drawers are in so alignment is easier. How far back you set the runners is determined by whether the fronts are full inset, half overlay or full overlay. If you are using Blum hardware I know they make a jig for establishing hole locations but I make my own from hardboard. That way you are consistant. I attach the runner to the drawer first but many guys do the box install first. figutre what works for you and just be consistant in method and you'll be consistant in results.
