I am in southern illinois but I think that is in my profile. I am bidding a job with 1500 sq’ of drop ceilings. Normally I just supply labor price at a square foot rate per job. I have to supply material myself on this one and need to know if anyone knows the going “rates” on material pricing by the foot for grid. I waited till the last minute on this one, and not sure there will be time in the a.m. for material pricing.
Thanks in advance for help.

Materials will likely run 1.50-3.50/s.f. Plenty of choices these days and 2x2 vs. 2x4 etc.
I charge $2.00/s.f. to install a "typical ceiling"...but I only do one or two each year.
thanks for reply. got material price this morn. I do lots of ceilings but normally the gc supplies material.
What I love is the people who think "drops" are "cheap" then pick out pads that are $5.00 for a 2x2An inch to short. That's the story of my life !

Are specs. for firerated? This can more than double the cost of materials and really slow you down as it's harder to cut and fit (you probably know this) last supplier I used / priced with supply layout for me from my scale drawing.
IF IT WAS EASY, EVERYONE COULD DO IT!
armstrong prelude fr , so yeah its fire rated. NP on cutting and stuff we do it all the time.
I think I was just freaking myself out because I waited until the last min to bid this one and it is quite literally across the creek behind my shop. Sad to say I don't know the people but they are my neighbors. An inch to short. That's the story of my life !
