we have a job we need to dry out. Site does not have electric yet, nor forced air yet , nor natural gas
so we brought in a propane heater and one of the subs said that it wont help because propane puts liquid out
he said 1.5 gallons of h20 for every 10 gallon tank burned
dont know if that is correct.
If it is true, is the old kerosene dragons better and dryer
and no I cant put a fire ring i the middle of the living room
however a wood stove sounds real nice right now
any ideas ??

thanks piffin, how true
so is one worse then the other, is propane worse then diesel or kerosene ?
More and more construction sites are using one form or another of dry heat.
Typically, they are boilers that sit outside, can be propane, oil, diesel or natural gas burning.
They are a low pressure vessel and normally use glycol lines into the building with fan coil units distributed inside the area to be heated.
There are now residential type heaters of this type as well.

Both wet and both make CO to breathe. We went to electric whenever possible. Better get on your power service quick or put in that wood stove.

Rent some commercial dehumidifiers.
I rented some commercial dehumidifers a few weeks back to dry out a crawl space, the units kept freezing up. The temp in the crawl space was between 40-50 degrees. After two days I sent them back to the rental yard. Was'nt much help.
dehumidifiers generally need a temp of plus 60 degrees to be effective
I wish the guy at the rental counter knew that tid-bit of info. It would have saved me a lot of effort. PITA getting the units in the areas I need them. Like 50lbs of flour in a 25lb sack. I told Jr behind the counter what I was using them for.
