First, thanks for all the info when I asked about 1/4″ drywall. I ended up using 3/8 to avoid the 2 hr. drive (having a bald tire on my truck helped make the decision). My question now is, what do use when you have to flat tape a section like I will since the homeowner already finished the ceiling? My “teacher” & “boss” has always had me use fiberglass tape for corners & paper for all seams. One book I read said the exact opposite & my friend who exclusively hangs drywall only uses paper no matter what the situation. What’s your opinion? I’m a little confused & this is only my 2nd project on my own. Thanks
