Amazon has a special.

You don’t see the price until you add it to your cart.
I suspect that this is a short time special and might be over tonight.

Link shows the 718 slider at the normal price.

That was quick.I saw it listed on SlickDeals and tried it and got the special price and posted immediately afterwards.
Link shows normal price. Put in in your cart and it comes back at $299. And super saver shipping (5-7 days) is FREE.
I've got one on the way. Not that I need it, but I'll find a use for it. Too good a price to pass up.
just tried it ...
$650 for the DW718.
what am I missing ... I'm in at that($300) price!

Not much of a Dewalt guy, but I'd get two at that price myself. The new Dewalt slider is a helluva design. I have a ton of Bosch stuff, but their sliders seem outrageously huge. The new 12" Dewalt slider seems very compact, yet has all the capacity and more.JT
it's a great saw. A working buddy of mine has one ... been using his for a coupla years now.
I checked that deal site mentioned ... shows it as "expired" ... dammit!

Hey Jeff - I'm gonna hijac this thread for a moment..I have a kitchen install next week - you still liking the Pony Cabinet clamps?Julian
I still like them ... but one of mine broke a while back.
I finally burned out the bearing that U drill thru. I forget how long I've had that set ... has to be well over 10 years ... seems like it's be closer to over 15?
anyways ... that was about a year ago ... and since then ... I've gotten out of the habit of using them each and every time. Now ... 90% of the cabs go up with just the now irwin squeeze clamps ... I like the full size 6" .... but ... there are still plenty of times when I make the trip out to the truck to get the claws out to tweak that face frame into a suitable position ....
then ... I wonder why I stopped using them!
I should go ahead and buy a second brand new set just so I'll start using them on a regular basis again. I think I just got brave and got used to drilling freehand.
I can say they do a much better job of hanging one off in space than just the regular squeeze clamps ...

I'll bet they'd send you the bearing "clip" thingy no charge if you asked. Interestingly enough, they sell for $66 at Amazon, but my local Sears store has em for $59 or so.Based on previous threads, I'm gonna pick up a set for this kitchen next week, along with a couple of the 3rd hands clamps. Thanks,Julian
ya know .... never occured to me to ask about a fix!
I just figured I had them long enough and they took enough abuse ....
good idea. I'm gonna check Sears ... might get that second set and see about a repair.

Funny thing is, Sears had a set on clearance and it had the little tab /bushing thing broke off. They were priced at $35 and I passed because of it. Had I been thinking how easy it probably is to get replacements - I should have bought the set. From the day they were introduced however many years ago, I knew I'd get a set one day - should of got that set a what now seems like a heckuva deal.Have a good night.JT
Hell I dont need one but like you said, at $300..........
I put in the cart and got a price of $649! I took it out of the cart.

Slickdeals says the deal is dead and the orders will be canceled- I wonder if you're getting yours. one heck of a deal if you do, besto of luck.

"so it goes"
I wasn't in the market and didn't but it.Hard to tell, because Amazon does have short term specials from time to time.
I ordered one last night. And saw the order confirmed via e-mail. Checking this morning the order's been deleted as if it never existed.
Apparently if a deal's too good to be true.................
