we have been pressure testing the DWV pvc plumbing in my loft project all week…
yep all week… plumber is anal about even one drop at a vent joint… so i’m not complain’n but….
this is about 100 fixtures and with a height top to btm of close to 40 ft… so there is a bit of pressure have’n it all filled…. there have been a couple joints that didn’t get glued at all… (has to be 3000 fittings in this project….) several defective fittings one underground several flaws in pipes…. one other place where the forklift bumped a pipe cracking a fitting under the concrete… another outside where the bobcat hit a clean out…. just seems everytime he fills it back up… we find new drips…
i guess there is no “normal” when you are make’n pumbing work where none was ever ment to be… but… this has taken a full week….
norm? or way off

So long as he doesn't bill by the hour, let him eliminate anything that'll cause you trouble down the road.
All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.
