Electric kiln on post on wood floor, need insulation tips to keep floor safe.

If this is a new unit.........
then I would defer to the directions or manufacturers specs.
Otherwise, a non flamable base, shimmed up in the air above the wood floor (which should have another layer of non flam.) to promote circulation between layers. Same deal with any wall within range-a shimmed from the wall , non flam surface.
This isn't a potters site, nor one for glass blowers, so some specs would help immensely. Got any?
Like Cal said, any appliance like that normally includes install specifics. You probably have them from the manufacturer, unless you acquired it used.
If we had the maker and model number we could help you interpret the details. Most makers publish specs in PDF form on the web
