Does anyone have info on Chicagoland area per opening rates. I am trying to estimate an addition for my brother in chicago and am interested in an average per opening rate for outlets, switches, and can lights.

Assuming that you are talking about in the city of Chicago, not the surrounding area (land of residential conduit and strong labor unions) you're looking at $55 - 75/opening, not including fixtures. In the Rockford area, where I am located (land of NM-B and 50/50 unions) the range is from $ 22 to 55/opening in residential, with 35 being a good solid budget number.
Thanks for your input. I used a number of 52.00 per opening. I am not familiar with Chicagoland residential rates at all. I just want to get him real close to what reality will be.
use numbers like this like you'd handle a bag of turds, sooner or later your gonna get something you don't like.
The real question is what's involved in adding on? Is it accessable, is there room in the panel for another/ more circuits? New construction or remodel, etc.
I understand the need for budget numbers but ....and it's a big but, expect the unexpected!
