Super bad storm here trees down on lines . i have a rental with a newer breaker box, The renter came by a tree fell on the house A power surge went through the cable and blew out the TVs , The breakers did not trip, he showed me the cable junction splitter its burnt, The power company put the lines back up the box still has no power, I thought the breakers would trip Could the power get Through??? The TV cable is separate from the wires, How can power go through, Im thinking a tree shorted through the cable lines and went back through the wires??? Gonna call an electrian, Any ideas???

Nothing you describe is "unusual" for the circumstances. Let the sparky and insurance companies figure it out.
sometimes voltage sneaks into the house on the ground rods and when that occurs, all sorts of bad things can happen

Probable the power lines outside the house broke and the cable also broke and power got routed into the house thru the cable coax.
Yeah, if power lines hit the coax then there's not much that can be done except visit Best Buy. Standard coax grounding will swallow maybe 20 amps before something melts down, and the power lines can supply 1000 amps or more.

thanks im thinking that too maybe the tree shorted both, i will let sparky do it i wonder what happens, maybe new breakers???
Hard to say why power isn't back on. Requires ordinary trouble-shoting.
