I’m sure this has been covered here before but here goes anyway.
I am installing a dishwasher several cabinets spaces away from the sink. I have bought some 5/8″ heater hose to extend drain hose. I want to connect the heater hose to the factory fitting that is connected to the plastic drain hose that comes from the factory looped and connected to the pump on the dishwasher.
What is the best way to connect the heater hose to the factory fitting leak free?
Right now, I am considering inserting a short piece of copper pipe or a brass nipple inside the heater hose and then inserting the heater hose into the factory fitting and use a couple of pipe clamps to connect them together.
