Does anyone know of a exterior door that has a easily replaceable insluated glass panel?
Background,
I am building what I am calling a 3 and 1/2 Season room. Exterior covered porch that is insulatied and will have radiant heat tile floors (with antifreeze) I will only heat it occainsionally during heating season. It will have some double hung windows but most of the windows will be custom made. That will have a removable insuated glass panel(salvaged from old siders) that will have a screen insert in the summer. Have the windows figured out but now need a door.
One choice would be to have a full veiw insulated door that I just take off in the summer, but what I really want is a full veiw Storm/screen door(inswing) that has reasonable weatherstripping.
I remember the old stanley steel 9 lite doors had a plastic interior grill that was screwed on so if you need to replace the glass you just unscrew the interior grill and pop out the glass. I was think if this was also true for a new insulateddoor I could make a screen panel that fit in the same space.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

maybe not that easy...
I don't think the glass just "pops out" of those metal doors....
probably right
Yea I am gueesing you are right, that it is silconed in. but if I could get it out in one piece?? It might work.
Yeah, you'd think that someone would make an insulated storm with a replaceable insert.
And, apparently, Andersen does. Apparently only available in the full light/full vent/non-storing (replaceable insert) style, if you want insulated glass.
The steel entry doors that you see at Lowes and HD have glass panels that can be easily replaced. I can't recall the name/brand, but i bought two a few years ago for DW's studio. They weren't full view , but did have cottage pane (didvided lites) inside the insulated panel. I bought two replacement insulated glass panels and replace them.
I could have bought them through the big boxe store or my lumber supply co., but found them available at a local manufacturer for half of the retail price.
The panels do come with a bead of sticky caulk on the back side of the trim around the lite. I just removed the didvided lite panel by removing the screws that were beneath the little plastic plug caps. Slipped a razor beneath the trim and sliced the caulk/sealant. Removed the panel and installed the new ones.
BTW the whole process is much easier to do with the door laying flat on saw horses with a piece of plywood under it.
I believe the manufacturer was Kingsbrook in Simpsonville KY. I can't seem to find a web site for them or a phone number in a Louisville directory, but can get at least a number from form my country bumkin yellow pages at home , if anyone is interested in contacting them. I believe they supply doors to the big boxe stores. They had a nice show room and sold to me direct.
