Looking at a house with this sprayed, stucco looking material, over rigid foam panels with a fiberglass skin re-inforcing the foam. Not too familiar with this product, I believe it is more commonly used commercially.
What is it called, pros & cons, life expectancy, etc. would be appreciated.
The application is in a hot, humid enviornment. Thanks.

Sounds like exterior insulated finishing system [ EIFS ] to me except all I've seen done was troweled on . If thats what your talking about its called Stow , Dryvit and I'm sure some other brands . You might want to do some research if this is a residential application as there has been a problem with water getting behind this stuff and rotting the sheathing , with the manufacturers blaming poor installation and the installers blaming the product and door and window details . I think there was even a class action lawsuite or two . Chuck

The fiberglass and the sprayed texture make me think it might be gunite.

Bill,
If it is Sto or Dryvit, run away.
See Chucks post.
