What I thought was one source of water in a corner of my basement turned out to be two. Fixed one by putting in a much bigger window well, regrading and extending downspouts.
As i went to strip out the drywall for repair I found that immediately around the corner from the new window well water was leaking in high up the wall, maybe just a foot below grade. You can see where the wet spot where the moisture starts and then spreads out. Construction below grade is block with brick and block above that.
So I know I have to dig outside in that area and figure out where the exterior water proofing has failed. It is a small area and I suspect that it will be too small a job for a waterproofing firm to come deal with. What’s available for this kind of repair in reasonably small quantities? Advice gladly taken.
Thanks, Carlos

I have used a few products that ir really like. The first is a paint on product called Drylock. I use the water base, not the oil based.
Second in the Miradry products. One is a peel and stick membrane.

The other is a a plastic products that waffle-like dimoples on done side. The whole plastic shheting is wrapped in a drainage fabric and it comes in 50 and 100' rolls. Run it all the way up above thr finish grade and all the way down into the french drain at or below the footing(you have a french drian, don't you?)

Thanks. i used drylock on the interior wall but I still get some water coming in. It comes in high, near ground level. And I am aware of the membrane you mentioned -- problem is I need a few feet of it not a mile of it.Carlos
the stuff isn't cheap, but it is worth doing the whole wall now, not later. The interior repair wok is alot hard and $$$ in the end. But, if you are like me, I hate digging, trenching. specially up against a wall.
do it now while the weather is still nice.
It's sounding more like he just wants a spreadable product recommendation where he can just dig down in the one problem area, see what the problem is and then apply a sealant.
Agreed it's always best to do the whole job to assure no problems down the road
but does it seem with just this one isolated problem area a quicker fix might surfice since the leak appears contained and so high up?
