Exterior Window Crown

Anyone out there have any good(new) ideas for installing and flashing exterior window crown?? I’ve got a 3.5″ crown on all lower windows of a two story house. The house has redwood lap siding(1st.Fl) Cedar Shake (2nd FL.) Thinking of using a copper flashing above all. (Pros,Cons??)

    the copper is traditional and looks great..keep it crisp and clean..

    another alt. would be lead-coat copper...

      *My vote? A soldered copper cap.Tight and clean lines.
