   David, I was only looking for a reply with some manners. I saw a product that I just wanted some information on. Isn't that the purpose of this board? Is there some sort of unwritten law on this board that we can only ask about certain products or materials?

   You DID get a reply about the product. Ed Williams said that the carpenters in these parts generally do NOT like the manufactured products. Okay, it isn't specific to your tradename, but it certainly conveys the idea that there might just be a reason it isn't favored.

   My guess is that you might have received some specific replies if you hadn't been so quick to jump on the first one who tried to help.

   I think I'll go back to Lurk Mode now.

   *See now, I thought by "Man made lumber" you meant lumber made out of men, sort of the "Eating Raul" of homebuilding, or maybe the preferred dinner of a genetic experiment gone hay wire, say "What do you get when you cross a termite and a cannibal?"...

   Anyone ever used a man made decking material called "Extrudawood" looks a bit like Timbertech, except the surface looks very close to real cedar or redwood.
