Hi
I installed 8″ aluminum fascia last fall and now over the last week our so it has started to oil can. I nailed it on the bottom return lip under the soffit every three feet and put in only 3 nails in face under gutter apron to hold it in place till gutters were put on.
Has anyone else run into this problem? It is GP Fasica good thickness, not flimsy stuff. It really is strange to see this happen. Could the gutter screws cause the tension in the fascia?
Thanks for your help.

Fastening it at all those locations will cause it to pucker in warm/sunny weather.

How do you get around the fascia puckering? It has to be secured in some way? It is supposed to be fastened at the bottom lip.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the punch website. I think it is the mounting screws for the gutters that has caused the problem. I will have to see if the fascia goes back to normal as the weather cools down.
I never heard of facsia pucwering before. what kind of wood or composite are you using? the compoasites can grow in the heat so they recommend caulk joints about 3/16" at joints

Oh - well , in that case, is there any AL trim that doesn't pucker up for a kiss?
