Electricains/Electrical Inspectors: What is your opinion of the safety of the Federal Pacific Stab Lok breakers? I hear conflicting opinions on whether or not these should be considered safe for continued use. If you see these in a home, what do you tell the owners? Any official sites or info on this product? Mike, there has been numerous recalls on Fed Pac panels and equipment. the California Real Estate Inspections Association ( CREIA ) or A.S.H.I have published articles on this subject, both have web sites. If you are doing home inspections you should definitly point it out and suggest consulting a qualified electrician and reduce your liabilty.
