Out here in the NW we are waiting for Hardie to come out with 7/8″ Harditrim. Apparently that product has been introduced to the SW market, but they are not selling it in the NW – for some reason…

Has anyone ever used MG-Trim from MacMillan Bloedel Building Materials. I'm doing a bid on relacing failed wood composite trim that was used with Hardy Plank. Five years later Hardy PLank is doing fine but the trim is a disaster. MG-Trim is what is being offered by my local lumber yard in the fiber cement tim line. Looking to hear both pro's & con's about the product.
Thanks
*It's all about price...If your customer can afford it...then use it...It will last as long as the siding right?near the stream,aj
*AJ, While price is always a concern in any proposal, I'm more concern about the product itself. I've been replacing wood composite trim for the pass several with 2x cedar milled down to 5/4. The MG-Trim is actually cheaper than cedar. This proposal is for a repeat customer, a good repeat customer. Do the work, turn in the bill, get paid, no queations. I would like to keep it that way. With any new product, I try to do my homework before I turn in my asignment. Thanks for the response.
