The retaining wall I just poured has a few voids here and there – no honeycombing, nothing bigger than 0.5″ – buts its a highly visible wall with a decorative detail etc., so I want it to look good and I was wondering what would be the best way to fill these voids. Should I be using a topping mix or can I just go with a cement/sand mix. My concerns are colour, I don’t want the filled area to stand out, and to a lesser extent bonding, as I’m only filling small holes and corners.
I see guys touching up walls all the time but I was just wondering what they use?
Also, with the snap ties on the back fill side, is it good enough to cover them up with cement or do you need to seal them off as you would on a home foundation?

I'd use sand mix. The sooner you do the repair, the better it will bond to the green concrete.
Its usually sand and cement but try to find a gradation of sand that matches your concrete (finer is better for smooth walls) and pick up some white cement too to mix with the normal gray cement to get a good color match.
