I had a chance to grab, for cheap, some 3″ flexible plastic conduit that was orange in color, so I grabbed it before I had a chance to find out much about it. This is the solid stuff, not the corrigated like the “Smurf” tubing. I have since read on the Internet that orange conduit is normally used for low voltage applications. I had figured it would be perfect to run between my house and my shop for its 200 amp service where I have to run about 100′ and curve around a couple of trees. I realize that I need to check with the AHD, but what is general situation with orange conduit? Also what types of fittings are normally used to hook this stuff to more conventional conduit or electrical boxes? Just get PVC fittings for regular hard PVC and the approved cement for the flexible stuff?
