I,m about to install an ash strip floor. It,s a renovation.we,re living in the house.in order to limit enviromental impact to the family, my thought is to finish the floor in the following way: Sealer coat with traditional solvent based polyurethane, following coats with water based. I would go with water base all the way except that I like the rich color change that happens with oil based products. I would rather not stain with a water based stain, i prefer the natural color spectrum. Any thoughts on using the finishing products in this way? Thanks for any comments or opinions.
By subdividing this property, a family was able to build a smaller and more accessible cottage for aging in place.
