Ok so all you guys read this ages ago, I just got the magazine last week and am overjoyed.
On pg 94 of issue #148, There is writeup of a New England house that looks fantastic. In that house it says that the floors are all white ash and that the house has a Radiant heat floor system… I thought wood floors were supposed to buckle and warp on radiant heat. How did this guy get away with it and can I do the same?

Following the proper specs for radiant heat and hardwood floors, there should not be any problems. There was a fantastic duscussion on one problem about a year ago at http://www.hoskinghardwood.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?search. Use radiant as a search word and you'll see a slew of discussions.
