I recently used Dow blue foamboard in 2 and 3 inch thickness to insulate not just the ceilings but placed it between wall studs after new 12 gauge wiring and cut into the foamboard for electrical boxes. Covered with 1/2 inch drywall, I am now in hindsight considering the ramifications of the foamboard’s flamablity and wondering if I shot myself in the foot by doing this. Any input by those of greater experience would be much welcomed.
I suppose if needed I could channel out high baseboards and place outlets there. I’m the homeowner of the complete gut-and-redo 1908 1 1/2 storey
farmhouse and after all these years I’d hate to think I blew it this close to victory.

In older homes like these, the main remodeling goal is often a more welcoming, more social, and more functional kitchen.

I wonder if he ever had a fire.---------------------
Swimming through the ashes of another life, no real reason to accept the way things have changed. Wrapped in guilt, sealed up tight.
Don't worry, every ICF house has to have electrical with the foam touching the boxes. More and more are being built every year- no problems. Make sure your electrical work is professionally done or professionally inspected before close-in with Drywall. Get a very good system of smoke detectors.

Did manage to decide to eliminate all exterior recpts in any yet to dos tho'.
Looks like I'll be opening all the finished recpts. now and use a firecaulking around the wire entrances in the boxes.
