Hello all, can anyone tell me where I can find a book or website that contains a lot of information on all aspects of foundation drainage, backfill, waterproofing, flatwork substrates etc.? Builders around here think that throwing a socked drain tile around the footing just before backfilling with clay is more than enough.
What I’d like to know most is how to build and run pipe to a drywell when the lot is too flat to run to daylight. I usually run to a sump and then pump it out but that always makes me a little nervous.
There must be a book or website out there that concentrates on up to date methods of foundation drainage but I just can’t find it. I read the “keeping a basement dry” article in FHB a few months ago and that was a lot of help but most of what he was describing is not done around here so I wanted to get some other opinions. Thanks in advance for any help.
