Picked up Gary’s new video “Mastering the Miter Saw” as featured in the last FHB. Being relatively new to carpentry/finish work I picked up some great points and tips which will undoubtedly help my accuracy and efficiency.
Gary’s shipping was also very professional, received the video here in Canada in less than a week – great job! One warning however – I think there may have been some subliminal advertising in the video as I suddenly find myself scoping out prices on a new 12 in. sliding Bosch miter saw like Gary uses in the video….juicy saw….very juicy…. That saw has some GREAT features. Don’t know if I can go back to my 10 in. sliding Delta now 🙁

Gary's a first class act and very well respected author. Here's a link to his web site, it's very handy to have around for tips and techniques. http://www.garymkatz.com/
Who Dares Wins.
Thanks for that link.
It's a keeper.
Holy Cow!
Alright, but the next time I'm charging ya.
After seeing Gary in Providence, for the last couple of weeks I have been trying some of the production tips he suggests. I thought I was pretty good before, but I feel much more efficient and confident with the techniques he demonstrated. I didn't get the video but maybe I should, to see what I missed.
Seems like a good time to get one, cause how can you beat the deal of a 12 v impact driver thrown in with it. I just got the Fine woodworking june issue and the offer is good thru July 31.
Clay,
You like the dvd so much you're gonna send me a what? Please make it one of the new Hitachis, with the hook and the flash light?
Hey, I'm very glad that you all enjoy the dvd and have gotten good things from it and the presentations, too--that's the biggest reward for me.
Gary
Ah but Um Eh oh I mean buy the saw and get the driver.
Or did you mean buy the video and you throw the saw in with it?
um..nope..that's makita's deal..not Bosch. AFAIK

Yea I know to get in a pissin contest with you cause you just don't have enough broken getfiddles to mend. I see the 1st post was about the Bosch, and I was referin to the 1220 so you win. But I can't find a project to make me get it cause i'm thinkin the 1220 is juicy.
But since your into fixin things, like Ecommunication- fix me a unbeatable price on the Bosch 11235evs I'm dreamin of. I know your really tallented so lets put all that sparemade time to use.
LOL...no pissin now...
