My painter just finished putting a coat of stain on a 15 lite door, and he made absolutely no attempt to keep the stain off the glass. It’s Minwax stain & seal or something, the one that has the finish built in (yeah, right). Before I get too bent out of shape and say something I shouldn’t, how hard is it going to be to get the glass clean?

Razor blade should take it right off.
Get a wallpaper scraper with the long handle , blades about 4 inches wide available anywhere and a package of blades. Keep a sharp blade in it and use plenty of water or windex on the glass from your misting spraybottle. Careful not to scratch the glass from sand or what have you. That's the reason for the liquid.
Let the thunder crack and the waves roar.
We're going on.
we're left with the impression that the stain was carelessly applied all over the glass. clean this. but a little appreciated fact is that a small stain/varnish overlap onto the glass should be left as a seal.

Painters take this off every day. Give yours a chance, I'm sure he will too.
The stain was not all over the glass, like it had been sprayed on...it is more like little rivers running down the panes. Guess I had never witnessed this part of the process...I've always managed to see the naked wood and the finished product and didn't realize the middle steps. I haven't said anything at all to him, that's why I posted the question before "open mouth, insert foot".
