Hi everyone,
As I mentioned before in my first post “Carpentry as a Career” I work as a maintenance person at a resort in my summers off. One of the guests has a brother that owns a custom kitchen business is my area, (is actually starting a new one in the new year with 2 new partneers).
Anyway, to make a long story short, he phoned me up tonight and asked me if I’d be interested in doing part time work for him on evenings and weekends once the new business opens. I jumed at the chance of course :-). The best part is I don’t have to start by sweeping floors and crap like I know some people do, since it will just be me and the 3 of them I’ll get to be part of almost every hands on step.
I’m excited to start and just thought I’d share. It’s amazing what a few connections can do for you. He’s giving me a call in January to work out a schedule. Happy Holidays everyone!
Cheers,
Brian
