I really don’t need any more electrical tools, but HD had a deal from Commercial Electric that I couldn’t pass up: 22 tools and a carrying bag for $59.99! I bought one on Monday, and saw that the entire pallet is already gone. (They’re also offering lineman’s pliers, needle nose pliers, and a set of diagonal pliers for $12.99!!! Three pack caught my eye because Stanley was charging $28 for a single lineman’s pliers, and I’m sure Klein is even more! I know Commercial Electric is the Ryobi of electrical tools, but a price like that is too good to pass up. It included:
Lineman pliers
Diagonal pliers
Needle pliers
3 different wire stripper
4 hex drivers
a set of insulated screwdrivers (flathead and philips)
Electrician’s Scissors
5 Sets of screwdrivers of different sizes
A carrying bag for all the tools
And the screwdrivers had their description on the end of the handle
Anyone else seen that deal?

Sears essentials in Marlton,New Jersey has marked down all its old stock of klein tools by at least 25% I picked up a pair of Journeyman Linesmans for 17 dollars, tax included.
Saw the offer with the bucket full of tools at HD in the late spring.
Did not need them. Got Kleins, etc.,
Did that stop me?
For about a day. Yes, they were going fast.

I saw that also, some months back. Now, you need to go to Harbor Freight, and fill in the gaps in the set.
A pair of cable cutters
A ratcheting pair of cable cutters
A 100' fish tape
A GOOD hacksaw, 32 TPI blade
A 2 lb sledge
Then go out and spend another $50 on a REAL pair of Linemans', as well as Diagonal cutting pliers. Klein 2000 series, or Klein Journeyman. No one else comes close.
Naturally, my truck has probably $10K in tools for the trade ... so there will be other things not included in that set.
You'll notice that I didn't mention any meters. You won't need them- you're no electrician, and don't pretend otherwise ..... anger the Electric Gods, and your friends will be comforting your widow ... possible in ways of which you would not approve :D
Admit it: you fell for the packaging. Truth be known, you probably already had 90% of those tools.
He he! You know that's right! I have all those tools, but the price was so good, and I just got a new apprentice, so I justified it. I have an Ohm/amp meter since I usually have to figure the houses total load in order to get the electric final to pass. I have a vague idea of how to figure amps=watts * volts, but I usually just count the breakers and ask if they've had difficulty with tripped breakers. I have upgraded services, but think it's too much liability for my company----rather pay a sparky who does it daily. Installing new outlets in an addition and adding breakers is another story! I do respect electric, and realize that the pro sparky's have all seen the horror stories that I don't want to witness. But the point of this response is: I have every damn tool in the kit (mostly Klein), but at that price I couldn't pass it up!Thanks to all you replied!
>>> I have a vague idea of how to figure amps=watts * volts,
last time I checked it was amps=watts / volts,
That's why it's a "VAGUE" idea!!
