I am thinking of doing a TV cabinet for a wide flatscreen unit. The Hafele door hardware set named here seems like the right thing for my needs.
Can anyone report experience using this gear?

Man, your one busy guy Gene! You certainly seem to have a wide variety of jobs on your plate.
I have a friend who has been doing quite a few TV cab built ins, roll downs, fold downs, pop ups, swing outs you name it.
Many of these mechanisms have been designed and built by some kookyish engineer tinkerer guy, but some others have been standard issue hardware much like you describe.
If you email me the particulars, I will be happy to pick his brain for you.

It's Never Too Late To Become What You Might Have Been
I decided to do the cab in a slightly different way, and use simple Hafele trackroll gear.
We'll put a 36-wide flatscreen unit into a simple cab with three doors, each one one door thickness back of the one ahead. One will be fixed, the other two will slide on tracks. Sliding the two over to stack up in front of the fixed, will expose the TV, which is mounted on an articulating arm wall mount thing.
The APERTO gear is very pricey, and used for larger door panels than what I am doing on this one. On a far bigger entertainment system, however, the system would be a marvel.
Gene
My experience is that if it says Hafele you wont be disapointed!
I dont know what the particulars are for you situation but Hefele is the Rolles Royce of hardware.
