The hand staple guns that I own either squeeze hard or jam frequently.Has anyone had experience with European staplers such as the Rapid. Where can these be purchased and will they accept arrow staples.

Just get an electric. I have had an Arrow for about three years now, and my mechanical stapler has hardly seen the light of day since. Get the contractor model, it has a generous 8 ft. cord. The handy homeowner model has a stumpy 3 inch cord, and I'm sure isn't built as well.
