Well christmas time is coming and the bride is hinting about putting the lights up outside……I just knew this was coming and simply dread the day….this is not my favorite holiday anymore. Thanksgiving is my favorite by far as anyone can afford to get together and share a mere sandwich or the grandest of feast and just plain enjoy being together and having great conversation. Christmas has gotten too commercialized and rushed to enjoy as much as I used too.
Now on with my question: I just put fiber cement board on my house as siding and trim and want to know if anyone has figured out a way to hang lights/garland around windows and up/down the corners of the house. I am not too hip on trying to drill holes just to pound in a nail and later have a hole that i will have to fill come spring.
Has anyone seen any clips or other device to hang this for the bride?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you've got gutters they make a plastic hook that you can attach and hang lights from.
I have about 20, 2" stainless steel finish nails at corners and peaks to hang mine.
They've been in for about 15 years. No problems...buic
Thanks for the advise, I didn't think about stainless nails. I could set them so the head is barely above the surface of the siding ...just enough to get some wire wrapped around it and hang her lights/garland from there.
