We are setting up to do a hardi board lap siding job (new construction) and I was curious if anybody had any tips to speed installation, jigs, tricks etc. Also if anybody had any bidding tips for labor on the stuff. Do you bid per square, bid trim separate, bid lump sum for the entire job? On this one we just kind of negotiated a price with the G.C., and we will see how it turns out money wise for us. 6 inch exp. Blind nail, plain board, we are installing trim and soffit.We have gauges and I was planning on using a circular saw, but i do have shears if those are better. We have a four man crew and I was think of the going with one guy cutone one install setup.
