I installed 700sf of 31/4 cherry hardwood flooring in my new house in April. I put down rosin paper and used flooring nails. Had it finished with 3 coats of moisture cured urathane.I am now experiencing cupping at the joint areas. The basement was unusually moist during the spring and early summer.Any quick fixes or should I put in a dehumidifier in the basement and have the floors resanded and refinished.

The symptoms certainly sound like moisture trapped in the timber by the urethane coating.
Go with the de-humidifier. You may find the floor will flatten out sufficiently to make it unnecessary to re-sand -- be patient, it'll take a time to get the moisture back out.
Long term prevention should include some sort of ventilation to the basement or replacing the floor coating with one permeable to moisture to allow the floor to dry.
