I’m looking for comments about Lumber Liquidators and their Husky Coat brand of flooring. I’m about to purchase a large amount of Australian Cypress and I’m curious about the quality of this company’s product. Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Don't be mislead by the finish warranty. 50 years...Ha! It ain't gonna happen. Quality? From my understanding they deal in damaged goods and closeouts. You never know what you'll be getting. Have you seen any samples? After looking at the website I'd be wondering about dealing with them as they can't even spell Cypress correctly. Cyprus?
Have you tried contacting Jeff Hosking for some estimates? I know there are several guys here at breaktime that have dealt with Jeff in the past. The benefit of dealing with Jeff is you can reach him by phone personally if you have any questions before andafter the sale. I don't think you'll get that kind of service from Lumber Liquidators(LL). Furthermore Jeff is a helluva lot more knowledgable than anyone at LL .

Here's a pic of some Aussie Cypress made by Harris-Tarkett. I'd have to favor this over Husky floors

I'm looking into using hardwood over radiant heat, but I'm concerned about damaging the tubing as it will be on top of the subfloor. I would like to know if anyone has used any snap together engineered (top layer being real wood) flooring. I wanted to go with Mirage but you have to glue it together and I'd like to avoid glue and be able to remove if need be. I hear that Khars is coming out with some. Has anyone used it? How well did it work? How much is it per sf?
I want a snap together should I have any problems with the radiant tubing, I'll be able to take it up.
Thanks much, Turtle boy
