Hardwood floors (engineered) -radiant application.
Up here in <!—-><!—-><!—-> <!—-><!—-> <!—->Anchorage<!—-><!—-> <!—-><!—->Alaska<!—-> <!—-><!—-><!—-> we have removed our berber carpet (after about 4 or 5 yrs) and are ready to try engineered hardwood floors. It is a sunroom – it gets east and southern sun. The room is approx 500 sq feet. The floor will be a floating floor. Sublfoor is gypcrete with plastic radiant tubes.
<!—-><!—-> <!—->
We have vendors who sell Kahrs and Upofloor brands. Both are snap together style- no glue. Both are about the same price (Kahrs is 1$ more per sq ft.) Both are approx 5/8 in thick
<!—-> <!—->
Please— is anyone familiar with either— Has anyone a preference?

Thanks very much– Rick

I haven't used either PEX brand. However, contacting the brain trusts on "the Wall" over at heatinghelp.com or the fine folk at the RPA might further improve your chances of getting a reply from someone who has used both products.
Rather than worry about the brand of PEX being put in, I'd look into the heat loss that the PEX is trying to make up, and the quality of the contractor putting it all together. Best of luck!
I could be wrong but I think that the brand names he was refering to are flooring brands and not tube brands. Can't help either, used neither and not really that happy with any of the snap flooring, but that is me and I am in Fla
Yes-- the 2 brand names were flooring brand names!- Sorry.--- Rick.
Good catch re: the floor.However, my comment and suggestion stands. There are tons of knowledgeable folk at the Wall and on the RPA web-site since many of them install radiant floors (and heating systems) for a living.
owens plank floor is by the best engineered system. it is site finished with a 5/16 wear layer. they have a plank loc system for floating applications. there is no other option in my opinion
