I live on long Island and am searching for a supplier of quarter sawn oak in bulk for trim work in a new house I'm building. I've been checking directly with the mills in the northeast region. The problem is that I only know of those who advertise in trade journals which is not too many.Any input from folks in the know in this region will be hugely appreciated. Thanks, Nick

*Check out Roscoe Lumber in Roscoe, NY. A drive up route 17 for sure, but I'll bet you don't pay $8 psf. There is also a drying/wholesale operation in Horseheads, NY called Southern Tier Hardwoods. Any of these places would ship it to you, but that might eat up the savings. Hope you have a trailer. Also - better plan on buying at least 1000 board foot.-Rob
