What would you say to a”Tradesperson” installing prefinished solid oak over existing MDF underlayment? They pulled up the carpet and base moulding and went at it. Can’t raise the baseboard heat. the flooring will finish 3/4″ above the stair nosing and at all of the doorways to kitchen, bath and bedrooms.

I’m related to this job by way of a former marriage, my son who has learned enough from me to know better, tried to advise his mom to have him or the lazy good for nothing stepfather pull up the UL but the “floor” guy didn’t want to wait/told her it wasn’t necessary.

AARRHGG…….May as well flush the $ down the crapper!
