Hickory two story spiral

StanFoster | Posted in Photo Gallery on August 6, 2004 05:19am

My shop is all back and running…though it still has an eary blue color inside from my blue tarp skylight.

My footings are being poured tomorrow for my shop addition. I am going to set up in the new 32 x 28 room while my damaged shop is getting restored.

Anyway…got to pay the bills so I am busy building and installing a two story hickory spiral.  These are the basement to main level photos.  Next week I will be working on the upper story.

The guy in the photos is a retired person I have help me on occasion.

Stan, Looks like quite a project, hope to see the completed job.  What is the laser being used for?

Mike:    I had the laser projecting a vertical plane of light that I was using to make certain the second story landing was exactly plumb up from the first story.  I squared the beam up and then was just able to easily measure this plane of light upstairs and make my cut measurements.

    Stan,

Your work always put a smile on my face. And that's because you do it so well.

Knowledge is power, but only if applied in a timely fashion.

I am playing catch up all over on my stairs.  I finally got some balusters in this two story hickory spiral.

Stan - Great work as always!  My only request is more flash on your pictures.  Its hard to see the details in your snapshots.

Thanks for all previous posts and glad you're up and running again. You get out of life what you put into it......minus taxes.
