You can stand the roll up on the tank lid, you can buy a cheap wallmount one at TJMaxx for $6.99, and you can get one from Kohler for $129.00, but here is how the architect’s details say we are to do it in hardwood.
Shown is the bottom trim in the short wall adjacent the throne. There is a window over part of that 1×8 ledge, and the ledge is its sill extension.
The TP roll, with a center plastic spindle with a spring in it, goes between the uprights, with the spindle ends snapping into the part-bored holes.
The finish masters amongst you probably have some really exotic ways of holding the rolls, and all pics of finished installations are welcome.

Whoops, forgot the attachment. Here 'tis.
I like it. It must be a treat to have a house that's not boring.
It'll be fun, but not as much fun as Doug@es is having doing that Texas house with the mesquite.
Here is a plan of the mainfloor powder room, and then a model of the vanity you see in the planview.
The doors adjacent the toilet slide, because if they were hinged they would crash into the stool, and the doors under the sink are hinged. The recess feature seen between the two cabs is the place we'll hang the toilet paper roll.

Heres another twist on the TP holder, built into the side of the cabinet, with an art niche' to add a little class!

I've been waiting all my life for an archy that would design a roll holder that also had space for a bunch of magazines, newspapers, maybe a paperback or two.
With minor modifications to your design, I'll bet it could be patented and marketed. The space below the roll seems perfect, if only it is deep enough.
Sure, the mags would get a bit of a curl, but hey -- ya gotta hold em in one hand anyway, while the other hand is wadding the paper!
Unless you're the lead dog, the view just never changes.
