Home Office design

TA1 | Posted in General Discussion on January 6, 2008 09:42am

I am interested in redesigning my home office and looking for ideas.  There are plenty of Kitchen and bath ideas, but I haven’t found too many home office ideas.  I would like to use cabintry and book shelves.  Just looking for as many ideas and photos as possible to start the design process.  Hope some one can point me in the right direction.  Thanks

Thanks, I saw that and might consider it.

Depends on what your intended use is and how much space you have......I did my 12'x12' home office with 2 walls of cabinetry for lots of storage, some open shelves, 2 built-in desks with a peninsula between them, and a built-in aquarium. All maple cabinetry with Brazilian cherry floors. We have room for 2 PC's, craft projects, homework, and space to lay out a set of plans.

Sounds very similar to what we are looking for, storage, 2 workstations and an open area. Our room  is about 15' x13' with some angled walls. Do you have any photos?

      Thanks

Thank you very much, very close to what our room is like and what we are looking for. It gives us some fresh ideas to work with.

          "excuse the mess....."

please tell me you're joking. If not you will absolutly die and explode if you saw my dad's office.

Nope.....I actually got scolded for not picking stuff up before I took pics. My garage and shop at home are bomb blast zones. And my desk at the office looks like a bomb went off. It just isn't time for the annual cleaning yet. DW's areas are a continual cleaning process with 3 kids.John
