I have been given the suggestion of using homosote as an alternative to sheetrock in a workshop I’ve built. Pros are, supposedly, better resistance to abrasions, punctures, etc.. possible to use as “bulletin board” for tacking up plans, calendars, photos, etc, and possibly greater fire-retardant propertities.
Does anyone have experience working with this material in a similar application? how easy is it to handle and cut? any special health/safety issues?
