building a LEED home in coastal NJ and looking to use 1″ polyiso on 5/8 CDX (2×4’s/24o.c.) with eastern white cedar shingles(FSC Maibecs). want to install Marvin Integrity windows on 5/4 pack-out(5/4×6 Miratec – ripped). have read Lstiburek’s article: “Guide to Insulating Sheathing”(buildingscience.com) do like the idea of hidding the house wrap behind the insulating sheathing but how do I handle the pack-out,window installation & house wrap????? to add to this crazy club sandwich, HOMESLICKER will be installed under the shingles. signed, typical confused architect who doesn’t know what he’s doing (but windows come tuesday!)

Why don't you pack out the windows with solid stock, install the foam against the sheathing, and use Homeslicker with Typar attached so you can flash windows in the conventional fashion?
We just did an install like Mike Maines wrote. Installed the windows on 5/4", butted 1" polyiso to the 5/4", and papered over the foam, or in your case homeslicker over that.
Putting the drainage plane behind the foam sheathing can work, assuming you have a little air gap to promote drainage. Downside to that is the same air that gets in to help shed water will also short circuit the foam sheathing.
