In the process of remodeling my old home the question came up which house wrap to use, Tyvek, Tar Paper, or ??? My contractor suggested tar paper as the best and most economical (proof, they still use tar paper as underlayment for roofing shingles). I can accept that but if it is so good why was Tyvek and similar material developed.I am looking for advice and recommendations.
