I layed 3000 block with 15 yards of sand and still have seven left. It nine shovel per bag. nine shovel is about a five gallon bucket, a little more. So two yards. But remember delievery charge will kill you so get a full load and use the left over in the playground.
A couple of additions ago I needed a 5-course stem wall at 63lf. (236 blocks) Ordered the minimum load of 3 yards from my supplier. ($102) Some got washed away in a heavy rain and some, on the bottom, was contaminated by contact with the stuff on the ground. About 1/2 yard left over that was still usable.
