A few simple but important questions… Which is the best heat recovery ventilation unit for a reasonable price? Does flexible duct work significantly decrease efficiency as opposed to sheey metal ducts? In a house with a small swimming pool(endless pool) is a seperate hrv neccessary? I’m told it is but the cost of two seperate hrv units seems high.

If you keep a cover on your pool when not in use, you shouldn't have a problem. Most of the heat into a pool goes to evaporating water. Minimize it.
I used flex duct for our 20k cu ft, .5 ACH system. Will again. You move so little air, it's no problem. I also ran lines to our closets.
What's the design? How many cu ft? What ACH? I don't know commercial systems as I built my own. Very efficient. It's very similar to a Lossnay. Strong recommendation to unbalance the fans such that all leaks go out.
