Why not? Are you running vinyl into the corner from both directions? The joint may not look great, but you might want to make sure there is good flashing behind the joint and possibly put something like a 1x1 in there to firm up the edges.

I've seen it done two ways here in New Jersey- the vinyl siding capital of the world....lol. Either put two J's back to back to receive the two pieces of siding, or run one piece into the corner and then set a J in front of it to receive the other. As Al said, make sure you've got a piece of flashing back there too.
They used to make an inside corner piece too, which I haven't seen much lately. It was basically a pair of channels at 90 degrees to each other, with a radiused piece between them and two nailing fins.

What I normally do, is to put a 4x4 piece of coilstock, the same color as the siding, in the corner, to channel water , then if there happens to be little tiny pieces of siding ,on one side of the corner, example ,by a door. I put those pieces on with no j in the corner. After you have run them ,put a J channel against them and run the other wall.Fast easy and is better looking than the other ways of doing it. kellyw.
In my area, an inside corner post in normally used. A quick web serach turned up this page: http://www.dixieline.com/vinylsiding/vinylside1.html When using the corner post no flashing behind is necessary. Of coarse, the house needs to be wrapped in either house wrap or felt before the siding install.
Now that I think about it, Bob's suggestion to run one side of the siding into the corner and then to put a single piece of J-channel against that makes much more sense. You still need the second line of defense behind that.
